1. paranormal activity: this movie scared the living s**t out of me. after my roommates and i saw it in theaters i couldn't sleep for almost a month. when i would finally fall asleep i had nightmares about it that would then wake me up. great scary movie.

2. creep: this movie is a little messed up, but if you looking for a disturbing horror movie this is definitely one i would suggest. it was gory and terrifying, and seriously creepy...haha perfect title.

3. hocus pocus: this one has a simple explaination...everyone loves hocus pocus.

4. practical magic: this is a great halloween-themed movie, but isn't scary. love it!

5. the fourth kind: alright, this is another movie that scared me to the point where i couldn't sleep. the movie contains "real" footage (i can't find any actual proof either way), but regardless it makes the movie that much scarier.

6. the crow: totally nerdy, but i've loved this movie since i was little and watched it with my dad. it's not really a horror movie or anything, but its still a pretty dark film. plus, brandon lee isn't hard on the eyes.

7. corpse bride: this movie is perfectly creepy and adorable. i LOVE it.

8. edward scissorhands: no explaination necessary.

9. halloweentown: all time favorite disney halloween movie. i think i love it most because it makes me feel like a kid again, despite the fact that at heart i am. i want my kids to fall in love with this film someday just like i did. :)

10. the others: another creepy movie, but at the same time it makes you think too, and the ending is a complete surprise. plus, i kind of just love ghost movies...a lot.
**these are in no particular order. i also am unsure of where i found these pictures so if you have the credits, or want the images removed just let me know!

what are your favorite halloween movies?
i'm always looking for new ones!!

  2. Love so many of these... but especially the Others, Hocus Pocus, and Paranormal Activity and the Fourth Kind. Those last two absolutely terrified me too. Things like that with demons or aliens or things that just SEEM real are terrifying!
